Backup Problem through Windows Server 2008R2 Standard Edition in LTO5
Dear Sir/Madam
This is to inform you that we have an IBM Server with Windows Server 2008R2 Standard Edition Operating System. We are unable to take backup in our LTO-5 through Server Backup Manager.
Kindly guide us the process to take backup through Server Backup Manager or through an alternative option present in the server.

Hi,
Is Server Backup Manager the third-party backup software?

Hi,
The built-in Windows Server Backup doesn't support to store backup on tape. To back up on tape, you need to use System Center Data Protection Manager or third-party backup software.

You cannot store
backups on tape. (However, support of tape storage drivers is still included in Windows Server 2008).
Windows Server Backup supports backing up to external and internal disks, optical and removable media such as DVDs, and remote shared folders.
For backup queries, better to discuss here.
